Real Madrid are making a splash in their redesign of the Bernabeu by installing TV screens in their urinals. Los Blancos supporters can now relieve themselves in peace without the fear of missing out on a goal at the 81.000-seater stadium.
A small video clip has been released showing the screens in working order on the urinals at the Bernabeu. They are not pioneers in this regard as fellow La Liga side Leganes have installed as similar system at the Estadio Municipal de Butarque.
It’s an unlikely first step for the club who are in the process of redesigning the Bernabeu in a £500m makeover which includes two new towers and a 360 degree screen.
Madrid got back to winning ways in La Liga on Saturday after they netted twice in the closing stages to beat Valladolid 2-0. It was their first win in the top-flight since September 22, ending a run of three consecutive defeats.
World Cup winner Toni Kroos was slated on social media following his bizarre tweet after their win on the weekend. The Champions League holders are currently languishing in sixth spot – seven points behind rivals Barcelona at the top of the table.
