While Real Madrid sit sixth in La Liga, their all-time top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo has been firing Juventus to an eight-point lead at the summit of Serie A. CR7 took a bit of time to settle in at his new club but he’s now registered tengoals, five assists and, most impressively, ten Man of the Match awards, in 16 matches.
From Leonardo Bonucci and Miralem Pjanic to Paulo Dybala and Mario Mandzkuic, Ronaldo has formed understandings all over the pitch with his talented new teammates.
Ronaldo is continuing his fantastic form with Juventus and has once again scored in the ongoing matchup between the Bianconeri and Spal at the Allianz Stadium, early this week.
The Portuguese phenomenon scored a goal to unlock the match in the first half off an assist from Miralem Pjanic, which was followed by his classic celebration. Meanwhile, as it often happens when Ronaldo scores, his celebration was accompanied with a ‘Siiiuuu’ roar from the Juventus fans around the stadium.
The goal helped the five-time Ballon d’Or winner become the fastest player in the history of Juventus to reach 10 goals in all competitions, after 16 appearances. The goal also marked Ronaldo’s ninth in the Serie A, making him joint-top scorer of the league, together with Genoa’s Krzysztof Piatek. The former Real Madrid star, however, has six assists to his name while Piatek has none.
Juventus beat Spal 2-0 on Saturday and the result sent them eight points clear at the top of Serie A. Massimiliano Allegri’s side remain unbeaten having won 12 of the first 13 league matches.
