Kante's injury allowed him to attend the bash
N’GOLO KANTE opted to put in a man of the match performance at the wedding of a Chelsea fan’s daughter over the weekend.
Kante, 28, made a surprise appearance at the bash and even got up on stage.
Fan Frank met the player through is pan-Asian restaurant
Chelsea supporter and businessman Frank Khalid posted shots of the French midfielder at his daughter’s bash on Sunday, mingling with guests and posing for photos.
Mr Khalid revealed how he and Kante met through his West London restaurant – and the player even visited him after a heart operation last year.
He said: “We became friends when I was introduced to him by a friend and he came to my restaurant Chak89.
“I invited him and originally he couldn’t attend because of his commitment to the French national team, but because of his injury he messaged me saying he was coming.
“My family and myself are very close to N’Golo and he was one of the first people to visit me when I had my triple bypass surgery operation in April 2018.
“He stayed till the end and was so nice to everyone and signed autographs and took selfies with the guests.
“My daughter’s name is Henna Khalid and her husband is Raheel Malik. He is an amazing person with a golden heart.”
Humble star Kante is no stranger to dropping by unannounced, last year showing up at a mosque in London after missing his Eurostar train
And he also bolstered his Mr Nice Guy reputation with an unexpected trip to visit fans at a Chelsea Foundation event in January.
Mr Khalid wrote on Twitter: “He must have been asked for a million selfies and he happily obliged every person that was at the wedding. He was happy to be there.
God bless N’Golo
